ECGBL Conference

I just got back from ECGBL and I have to admit that it was a pleasant and fruitful experience, both my stay at lovely Paisley as well as the conference itself. University of Paisley organized it quite effectively -I just wish I didn't have to choose between so many interesting topics during the parallel sessions- for everyone.
We had the opportunity to have in depth analysis of the academic/research side of Game Based Learning (sometimes I wonder when are we finally going to have a European clearly practical/parent-kid/product side as well ) and we actually had some products as well (hurray!).
Keynote speakers made very interesting remarks and University of Nottingham Trent was a revelation for me especially regarding their products and views on gaming and inclusion. Well sometimes I feel that I have to work more on my literature review, there are so many things going on that I'm still unaware of.

My presentation went unexpectedly well (not so many people showed up - I dislike being in the last session of the last day- but I got quite a few positive remarks and it seemed that it was mentioned once or twice during the conference). At this early stage of my work, positive remarks on my research and point of view seem like a soothing music, especially when I am presenting a paper.

I have to make an allusion to the amazing dinner at the astonishing Mar Hall. Plus to remember next time to ask for emails on time!!!
