Scratch and GameMaker workshops

Over the past two days we have organized two workshops about MIT's Scratch and YoYo Games's Gamemaker. The workshops took place in Apollo Culture Center and involved 20 educators that will teach these two friendly game design environments to 200 Special Education teachers. I want to believe that everything went well and that the educators returned back home creatively puzzled (with a tired yet intrigued mind), however next time we should make sure that all educators are on an same level of IT knowhow.

What's more, I found the usage of videos and interactive material extremely useful and interesting, instead of the ol' powerpoint (of course I had one or two of them as well :-), you cannot kick the old habit easily can you?).

I really really hope that they will make use of what we said, especially about promoting Scratch in the classroom (creativity and imagination VS curriculum and timeframe)...
